Needs assessment report with TGNC people over age 50 in San Francisco
In 2022, San Francisco AIDS Foundation, Gender Health SF, and San Francisco Community Health Center conducted a needs assessment to learn more about the community needs of transgender and gender non-conforming (TGNC) people over age 50 in San Francisco, and ensure service organizations are building in such a way that serves those needs.
The study team collected information via (1) a written survey, and (2) three in-person community conversations; data from the surveys and community conversations were coded to identify emerging themes and findings. This report shares demographic information of participants, in addition to self-assessments about disability, HIV, mental and physical health, employment, public assistance, safety, housing, service utilization, and more. The end of the report provides concrete recommendations on ways to help meet community needs.
