More than 15,000 gathered in Golden Gate Park on Sunday, July 15, for the 26th annual AIDS Walk San Francisco (AWSF). The landmark grassroots event benefits San Francisco AIDS Foundation and 46 other Bay Area AIDS organizations that provide vital care for people living with HIV/AIDS, as well as cutting-edge HIV prevention services and public policy efforts to end the epidemic.
The diverse crowd of compassionate Bay Area residents, backed by thousands of individual donors, raised nearly $2.7 million to fight HIV/AIDS and support our free, local client services.
AIDS Walk brings together people from all walks of life united behind one cause: to see the end of HIV/AIDS. See some of our favorite images from AWSF in this slide show, and then check out many more pictures on our Facebook page!
The best way to fight HIV is to know your status. A simple test can determine if you are infected with the virus.
Our diverse programs help thousands of people every year. From testing to prevention to care, our services assist communities where need is greatest.
