Hundreds of Bay Area residents will gather in the Castro, and strip down to their underwear to support free and local HIV prevention and care programs. Marking the final weeks of holiday shopping before Christmas, this fun and festive extravaganza is a neighborhood favorite.
When: Sunday, December 13, 2015 (registrant check-in 9:00 a.m.), run starts at 10:30 a.m.
Where: From outside Lookout, 3600 16th St, San Francisco, through the streets of the Castro.
What: Santa Skivvies Run, a fun run through the Castro where funds raised benefit the HIV prevention and care programs of San Francisco AIDS Foundation.
Participants check in at 9:00 a.m. Following brief remarks from San Francisco AIDS Foundation leadership, runners will be released onto the streets, running approximately 1.5 miles on sidewalks through the neighborhood. A map of the route and images from past years are available at santaskivviesrun.org.
Neighbors and local business owners come out each year as spectators. Following the event, many participants remain in the Castro and patronize local businesses.

About San Francisco AIDS Foundation
No city experienced epidemic levels of HIV faster than San Francisco. At San Francisco AIDS Foundation, we work to end the epidemic where it first took hold, and eventually everywhere. Established in 1982, our mission is the radical reduction of new infections in San Francisco. Through education, advocacy, and direct services for prevention and care, we are confronting HIV in communities most vulnerable to the disease. We refuse to accept that HIV transmission is inevitable. More information about the foundation is available at www.sfaf.org.
